Highlights

• Downhole installation of a novel strain sensitive cable
• Parallel analysis of distributed temperature, strain, and acoustics

Two fiber-optic cables were installed behind the anchor casing (down to 200 m) and behind the production casing (down to 500 m) of a monitoring well for Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) in Berlin, Adlershof. Our job included the selection of a suitable downhole cable, the cable installation and documentation, data recording and data analysis during the wellbore completion (gravel packing, cement pumping, hydration kinetics).
